No Defense Option
Settlement was attacked, no alert generated, clicking on the actual settlement does not generate a defend option.

Update: Immediately after posting and fast forwarding 5 days, an alert and defense option were generated for a different settlement. But the world can not be generated.

Check the pinned known bugs discussion for a fix to the world can not be generated thing.
If you play with RimWar, attacks started by it will not generate notifications from this mod. To get notifications from these, check the RimWar settings

So can we call that an uncompability with rimwar? Should'nt I use them both at the same time, because the experience i got when a settlement got crushed three times in 5 days was horrible

I cannot recommend placing a settlement in an enemy controlled territory as they will attack it with priority to guard their borders
