I believe Otherside is supposed be a “losing” state for Voidplaces (basically, since Gmod doesn’t allow for a loss condition in “campaign” style maps like these, this map is supposed to be one ending for the story: you simply get trapped in Otherside for eternity or until you restart at one of the other maps). Unless more updates follow, there are no exits from this map.

I did find an easter egg though!

If you noclip to the bridge across from the pool, there's a smilin' little shadow guy with a smilin' little sign on the ground on the side opposite of the hole.

That makes sense, since you broke inno's heart, I guess thats's just the punishment

I think there will probably be an exit to otherside eventually - before voidmall had its big update, it was a lot smaller and it would trap you inside the "HELL" area after turning off the TV. Since voidmall was updated, the map has been expanded a little bit and you can now get a little bit "further" before you're trapped.

Yuh, you start at gm_voidplaces and go from there.

The ultimate goal is to escape and you do that by exploring the maps and/or solving puzzles to progress.

A great tip: leave open every door you’ve already gone through, makes finding the paths to the other side of locked doors a lot easier.

EDIT: Also, from what I’ve played, it’s not entirely linear. There are multiple available paths in at least one of the maps.

Cheesy and possibly unintended methods:
Build a prop tower over the pool to climb back up the pit.
Have MW Skydiving or a similar addon installed and parachute off the cliff.
Get caught by Jimmy in White Corridors and build a bridge to the other door.

The intended route:
Enter from Voidmall and simply turn around.

i mean there was no intended way out of otherside once you jumped into the pit
