Workable Iron vs. Iron Ingots
I can make workable iron, and from that make iron ingots without issue (MP server too, w/over 100 other mods) - but I can't figure out what to do with the iron ingots. Once the Smithing skill is high enough, it looks like all the new recipes that unlock require workable iron as well. So...

What are iron ingots for? how do you use them?

Bit of a late reply but you don't do anything with the ingots themselves they are just a way to help you build up your smithing skill.
