The issue was still there on the original mods last time I checked. It's very weird that other turrets with the same size stick on pistons and rotors without any problem

This is an odd one. Both of those two turrets will place with the piston fully extended, but not retracted.

Similarly, they will place on a standard rotor that has its displacement set to max - but not on the advanced rotor. I'll keep working on it :)

I didn't check extended pistons and rotors, well spotted. It really is kind of annoying since it forces you to add a conveyor tube or block to compensate this weirdness.

I tried what you said about putting the turrets on extended pistons but it didn't work for me.. they still won't attach directly on piston/rotor heads
