I had the same issue. Install squad and the MEE mod, on an SSD.

i dont have ssd so my fix is start the game join mee server wait for loading screen then close the game restart the game then again join mee server the boom you can play on mee server

still same problem

im also running into the same issue, not sure if it is worth all that trouble of waitng just to quit and wait again
