For buildings to generate mail, a number of things needs to be set in place:
- the buildings that generate mail must be in a caption area of a cargo bay
- the cargo bay and a postal sorting service need to be connected with a line and cargo vehicles that are able to transport mail
- buildings do not produce mail by themselves. Mail is a secondary product. The buildings need to receive cargo for them to be able to produce mail. so
- commercial buildings need to receive commercial goods or mail
- industrial buildings need to receive industrial goods or mail
- residential buildings need to receive mail
- not all buildings produce mail, only about 30% of the town buildings do.
So it might take time and effort to see mail appear. First just a little, but when the town grows, and the delivery of products is well up and running, mail will become substantial.
I hope this helps. If not, please ask away.
The other two cities have there own passenger terminals with cargo attachments in the center of the city that then connect via wagon to another pass cargo stop next to a passenger ferry port. Then the ships connect to the first city with the mail center which if I didn’t mention also has a wagon terminal both passenger and cargo that goes back to the first city center terminal in which the mail would get on the above listed line to the center.
The only things I can think of is
1. The lines are two complicated to much inter change of the goods ( the unsorted mail to get it to the center)
2. No cargo port on the passenger ferry docks
*if it’s 2 how would u tell ur cargo ships to to load both cargo and passenger?
