City not producing waste?
Howdy, I started a game in 1850. I've got some basic bus lines and stuff in a city, and then I connected half the city to a distant landfill via ship. No waste appeared on the terminal at any point, so I also added a truck station in the middle of the city and connected it to the cargo terminal. However fast forward a couple years and no waste has appeared. Yes, all lines have compatible vehicles.

Yes, there are buildings producing waste in the catchment area of both the truck station and the ship terminal. The destination terminal is connected to the landfill.


Any other ideas as to what I need to check or what else might go on?

Waste is a secondary product, like unsorted mail is. You will have to deliver goods (industrial and/or commercial) to the towns for them to start producing waste. Without consumption (goods) no waste. ;)

Thanks! I kinda had a feeling but I wasn't sure. Time to restart that save because I sunk 3 million into the waste boats lol
