Troubleshooting
If the decals don't work, here are the reasons why and how to fix them.

1. You may have an addon with conflicting decal replacement files. Unsubscribe from the addon and delete the files from your garrysmod/garrysmod/addons folder.

2. You may have decal replacement files hardcopied in your garrysmod/garrysmod/materials/decals folder. Simply delete them.

3. You may have to restart Steam. This is the most common issue with decal addons, they often require a Steam restart. That's all.

The large blood trails are typically already placed in maps. You can place them yourself with the Extender Paint Tool.

Hey Crunchy. Could you please help? I have no decals file in materials. When i see blood, only the half life 2 is visible and only 1 blood decal is from you. Please help!

I've never seen that before.. I'm not sure why you manually installed it but I would delete whatever is in your materials/decals folder, then redownload the addon. You may have to restart Steam after downloading a new decal pack. Workshop likes to cause trouble with them.

im having the same problem as JoPro, im only seeing the normal blood instead of the addon blood. i've tried deleting the other blood mod that you made (the subcriber blood) but it doesnt allow me, i need help on how to delete it since it wont allow me to delete it.

i thought i finally fixed it but i didnt, seems like i just have to have normal blood for the rest of my life playing garrys mod.

What do you mean but "won't allow you"? Just make sure you're unsubbed from any other mod that overrides decals, and that you enter "menu_cleanupgmas" into the console in the main menu to get rid of them for good. If it comes to it, use GMAD to extract my workshop addon and manually install it in your GMod directory.

Trial and Error, buddy. I usually disable addons 8 at a time, then load the game to see if the problem is gone. Then I just narrow it down.
