Plans for Repentance?(+ Fiend Folio compatibility)
I'm interested about what you guys(as in the IPECAC Community) could think up for Repentance when it comes out. Like some new items based off of repentances' mechanics & stuff,And some enemies & bosses that could be in the new Chapters exclusively in Repentance. So,any ideas you can get?
Oh,and didn't you that Fiend Folio is here? That's right! I've heard that some of you were part of Team Folio and made Fiend Folio! It's really awesome! Have you got plans to make Fiend Folio compatible with the IPECAC Community Mod?
I know people can disable Fiend Folio items to play FF & Ipecac Comm. Mod at the same time. I'll try,though.

(My) plan for repentance will essentially be to flick the reset switch, for a variety of reasons.

1 - Repentance should hopefully bring about an improved modding API -- It's just a matter of when. When/if the API changes, most mods will need to me remade to follow suit.
2 - Repentance will no doubt bring over some duplicate features, and so we will then have to remove a lot of those from the mod, either entirely, or things will need reworks.
3 - There are a lot of things ingrained into the design of IPECAC that, when a recode occurs, I would like to change. In terms of unnecessary features, bad ideas, the base structure of the mod could be optimised to improve performance as well. I wouldn't be surprised if when a Rep recode drops that we will be shearing off a fair few items, enemies, and trinkets, even if they weren't duplicates of Repentance features.
4 - Repentance will hopefully re-energise us somewhat, and the community. We'll probably have a bunch of new ideas, and so will the community. In the same way Rep is changing the game an astronomical amount, it'll be changing the mod too.

If we're gonna do a recode, I want to make sure we do it right. I'd like to bring in some more people to advise us as well to make sure we don't just go off the rails either. I really wanna make the mod shine.

As for FF, it's the same sort of thing. Outside of some very minor interactions, I don't think IPECAC does anything overly exciting with FF.
They work fine together, from what I've seen, there's just no extra fun things.
Mod Compatibility for me is very low priority. High priority is getting the mod to work, followed by new features, then followed by extra cross-mod interactions, purely because I find it the least fun thing to design.
Maybe, in future, when we're satisfied with where the mod is, we can settle down from new features for a bit and sort out some extra cross-mod compat. So yeah. Maybe some of the other devs will think otherwise, but I just know that I and the other main coder are both on hiatus rn so any developments in that field won't be happening any time soon.

Hi there! Just wondering if there are plans for the rework to include the missing items from the antibirth expansion that were not ported over to repentance. Some examples being the manorah and the four runes. Repentance just feels a bit incomplete to me without the full antibirth package, know what I mean?

We will not be doing that as that is not our content/ideas, so stealing them wouldnt be very nice. I imagine they could make a resurgence in content updates to repentance in the future, as those are planned.
The only ideas we will be reusing are our own.

We're working on ironing out the bugs, we're hoping to get things sorted soonish. But we are working on it! :)

cant wait, because i bought afterbirth+ in ~november of 2020 and had like 70 hours on it, but I stopped playing, that was until repentance released and i bought it instantly, because of how invested i became in the game it started seeping into my youtube recommended, and eventually mod item reviews started popping up around a month after repentance released, and thats how i found this mod and it looked great so i cant wait to play it when its repentance compatible

Somewhere above 50% but below 100% -- cant really give an exact answer because things just keep breaking lol. Ive managed to beat two characters with the mod enabled, but with a handful of crashes, so, yeah, a lot still needs to be done yet
