He's surprisingly enjoyable to play as, his moveset fits him well and he's as far of a clone of sonic as he could be. The only real negative i can think of, and it's a nitpick more than anything, is that his victory screen sprite looks pixelized due to the zoom in.

Keeping his moveset separate from sonic was one of the main goals, along with making sure it wasn't boring.

I definitely agree with the pixel art being a bit odd looking. Previous art we used was higher definition, but gave weird artefacts when recoloured. I'll see if I can find something better!

Tails is really fun to use and is pretty balanced, but I've always felt like his down special and side special should be swapped, especially considering how hard his grab is to catch anyone with. Love the recovery, though!

Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear you're enjoying the character!
We had a hard time deciding which special should be which with the side and down special! We ultimately decided that the spin would be better to the side because it didn't stop recovery, and accidentally using the side special offstage seemed more common than down special.

Grab was always supposed to be difficult to land, given that you get to control your opponent's position for a bit. We're still not sure if we have the right balance of difficulty to land Vs payout though. Ideas are welcome! 😁

Super fun a faithful to the fox boy. I was a little surprised to see his recovery didn't have a hitbox but I assume it's for balance reasons because the mobility of it is way higher than the classic Sonic titles. The taunt is top notch, a yawning Tails is the perfect balance of BM, cuteness, and faithfulness to the classic idle animations.

I like the sweet spot of his down air spiking/semi-spiking but I feel like it should have a similar impact to his F-Strong. Big hits just make it feel more gratifying and also give those flashy screen effects that guaranteed kills get.

Pushed an update that makes the down air have a Clairen tip hitbox, which makes it a lot more satisfying, and I took your USpecial suggestion and put it into a Rune instead (as it was too strong by default).
Apologies for the delay, a lot of time went into the workshop support for this update!

in the original sonic games he carry sonic over pits and other things why not make it where in team mode if you use carry on a teammate you can save the from losing a stock or to do a air combo! but with used with sonic charactors the sonic then has the ability to control tails and change directions spam jump to go up do nothing to go down and hold down then jump to jump off! and tails has the abilityto throw the sonic charactor at enemys! i dont know if this is a good suggestion sooo idk.

Do love the kit though I would like if the side special tornado move didn't send you down and instead hovered. At the moment if you're off the edge and you accidentally use it you can just instantly kill yourself. Could just be a skill issue but if the joy stick is even slightly to the right when trying to up special you're doomed if low enough.

Same with down special but that 1 is understandable and i have no problems with it. Plus it can be funny when you try to edge guard with it and just leap off the cliff to your doom.
