V0: deletes the mind of the reciever and turns them into surrogates.
RX lets installed surrogates or pawns to use skymind even when they are far away from your city and skymind antennas. So you can go on caravan runs with surrogates or keep recieving skymind connection bonuses on your non-surrogate colonists.
V1: Lets you use surrogates and connect to skymind with flesh colonists
V2: On top of V1 functions, this one lets you copy over or swap mind with people who has at least a V1 chip or upload mind to skycore computer.
V3: lets you do all above plus you can control 6 surrogates at once.
normally uploading a mind to skycore kills the pawn and wastes the V2/V3 chips but there is an option in mod settings that let you either duplicate the mind instead or turn the old body into a surrogate just like if you installed a V0 chip. I think the latter option is more logical and balanced.
