Historical Authenticity
Okay, so, first of all, I love the fact this mod has been picked back up, and appreciate the work that goes into it, but... I can't help but feel that some things are just off.

For example, the New Zealander's are depicted as aborigines related to Australians, but the indigenous people of New Zealand are called the Maori, and are in fact Polynesian (along with the people of people of Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, and everything east of there including Hawaii) They also didn't practice the Dreamtime and had a completely unrelated religion. Speaking of Dreamtime, not only does it not mention any actual gods of Dreamtime, like the Rainbow Snake or the Bunyip, Uluru doesn't even seem represented at all, and that's considered the holiest place in modern Aboriginal practices!

There's also the fact that the native peoples in the places this mod adds are unified rather oddly. I understand that there's only so many provinces added, but the aforementioned Aboriginals and Maori were definitely not as unified as that, at best a province each with independent baronies underneath, and while I don't know much about african history, considering what the Zulu rightfully considered an empire, I would assume that they were never so influentially centralized either. Speaking of the Zulu, they should also be represented south of the Venda-Tsonga, instead of this weird "South African" shtick.

Also, Native Americans caught my notice the most. It just seems... Strange. They definitely didn't all follow the same religion, and the Iroquois borders are messed up. I may be wrong, but the Iroquois should probably be bordered so they're homogenous. Their most famous story, after all, tells the story of how the Five People of the Longhouse (Haudenosaunee, which is what they called themselves and what their kingdom should probably be called), the Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida, Cayuga, and Seneca, came together.

There's probably stuff I'm missing and things we're both incorrect about here. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be like "i'm smarter than you har har", I just want this mod to be the best it can be.

I understand research can be hard and boring, but there's multiple channels out there that put history and myth in fun and interesting ways like Overly Sarcastic Productions, Extra Credit, some TED-Ed stuff, other things I haven't heard of... Even if it can't answer all things, it can definitely make some things easier, and maybe spark your interest to make the more traditional research easier!

If anyone else wants to suggest and correct things, I guess here's a place if the creators say that's okay?

Thx for feedback. I can't completely true historical map. I am working alone. This is too hard but i will consider your feedbacks.

What does need to be considered is the fact that 0ffLin3 has added a notice to the mod description saying that Umbra Spherae-Reborn only partially features actual historical characters/religions/etc. And just as he said, it's just a one-person team working on the mod itself.

Playing in Greenland at the 867 start. Main problem is that the Inuit didn't exist until around 1000, didn't leave Alaska until shortly after, and didn't reach Greenland until about 1200. Granted, prior to that, the only inhabitants of Greenland were the Norse colonists in the south, as no one before had ever lived there, which is difficult to simulate in CKII I'm aware.

Should really add a Haudenosaunee/Iroquois kingdom formable. and arguably should be present in later bookmarks. Thanks for updating the mod though!

This might be late but the Dorset culture existed in greenland before inuits

This is definitely late but the Maori culture should use the Mesoamerican gfx and most of Southeast asia and Nusantara should use the South Indian gfx.

This might be late but the Dorset culture existed in greenland before inuits
Cool Idea. I hadn't heard of them.

I kind of like how currently the iron century has norse iceland but not norse greenland.

Although, from what I looked into with the sagas. Greenland was colonized at least a generation or so before that time. Well, if you take the Saga of the Greenlanders and the Saga of Erik the Red as being fairly accurate.

Since, it pegs Lief Eriksons discovery of vinland and markland as starting during the reign of the same chrisitian king who is in charge of norway during the iron century bookmark.

So from that at that bookmark Greenland should have a norse colony.

It would probably be mostly uncolonized or Dorset at the first one though.

I may go and try to make those edits.
