Tho, theres plenty of other reasons for that to happen including bugs so idk for sure.
After testing a few times, survivors acquire a "MIA" status when you put enough distance between you and them.
When you are away from the survivors, they freeze in place and stop showing up in the map, acquiring the MIA status because you can't see them. Once you get back to them, they start moving and showing up properly on the map and the survivors list.
If you happen to quit the game when you are away from your base and then continue, no survivors will show up on the map and clicking the button will cause LUA errors to start piling up rapidly.
It goes away once you return to the base, exit and go back in ^-^
When I try to order or check information on a MIA survivor, I get an error, when I open the map I get constant errors notify on the bottom right of the screen
