One of the survivors in my group was bitten by those zekes. So I decided to isolate him from our group in a garage nearby. 3 days later I went to the garage to end his suffering, but he was still alive and healthy while my character could only last 2 days since I got bit. That survivor lived on.
I do saw a wild survivor get bitten but managed to get away, so I chased him down but he got zombiefied just an (in-game) hour later. His guns and stuffs still in his inventory. Most cases when an unlucky survivor got devoured by a horde, they never reanimated like the player did.
I wonder how zombiefication works in this mod.
