- Position
- Group
- Designated Base/Task Areas
- Probably tasks
are saved with the mod data, in folders identical to the save name.
If you have changed your Zomboid save you need to fix it, it looks for the folder name when determining what survivors are in what groups and where they are
It just seems to treat them as if they were another player on a multiplayer server. (You can play as them via the "More..." button in the Load save menu)
Here's what I did to fix mine (As just pressing U didn't work):
1. Locate your Super-survivors mod folder
- Mine was saved in F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\1905148104\mods\Superb-Survivors
2. Locate your specific save folder, it should have the same name as the load menu
3. Determine which SurvivorGroup your character is in
- SurvivorGroup(X).lua contains a list of all survivors in that group
- You need to find which one contains a 0
- My U menu shows "Base Location(6)" and my group id was 6
4. Back this folder up, we'll need it later
5. Edit the data to your goals
I didn't know which survivor IDs were mine, so I just assigned all of them to my group.
- Survivors are removed from your group upon death, otherwise they just don't spawn into the game
(Filling SurvivorGroup6.lua with 0-100, one per line)
Then I edited their positions in
SurvivorLocX
SurvivorLocY
SurvivorLocZ
to the same position near me,
e.g. Editing SurvivorLocX to be 10 5220 means survivor id 10's X position is 5220
Then I joined a backup of my save where the name is identical to the original and checked the survivor info panels for the IDs of my survivors. The hostile Survivors seem to be a bit relaxed here.
Then you can restore the backup, edit your SurvivorGroup(X).lua and optionally your survivor's positions.
Viola, group restored!
