As far as I understand, it is the tier below them? For example, for the Elite Hive you must have an Enhanced Dinosaur and for a Firestorm or Spiritplague or Glacier Hive it must be a Wraith Dinosaur. But I'm not 100% sure.

Okay so, if I'm trying to lure out a queen from a nightvoid hive then what tier dino would I use?

It's designed in a linear fashion so you'll need to have achieved a tier below it to fight the next tier hive queen to progress. Because you have to enhance through the tiers progressively

i cannot seem to get enhanced hives to awaken. is there a trick to this because no matter what i go near it with nothing happens

if you on SP you need to put in your launch options -preventhibernation. That will allow your towers to spawn. the hive dose not have intrest as your dino too low of a tier.

Do you have the Creature ID's? If yes can you release them, because I would like to disable or destroyAll dinos because of overspawning like the HiveDrones at example
