This is gonna be made into a feature down the line, mark my words.
Maybe not in the next update or new dlc, but I have a feeling something similar to this is gonna be added to the base game sooner rather than later.

Maybe, but it was never intended. Because the game focuses on one giant war and not wars such as the ones in EU4. (Even though it would be cool having finally a feature to switch sides mid war)

It would be so useful for some wars, like USA vs Germany. It defenitively need to be an option.
