Federation Founding members all keep rivaling eachother
I'm trying to form the federation, but the founding members (vulcans/andorans/tellarites) all keep rivalling eachother so I can't get more than one into alliance. Is there an event I need to wait for, or is there some kind of trick or strategy I am missing?

Vulcans and Andorians are actually very warlike on their own so yeah, this is normal.

The tellarites and having another ally should be about enough to form the UFP.

Yeah, it should be easy to form the ufp in some format.

It should be hard to form it in the canonical format, just because the show itself tells us how unlikely it was.

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for the advice. Your right its easy to form if you look outside the canonical founding members. I ended up forming it with Vulcans and Denubolans in the end and got the Andorians and Tellerites one at a time afterwards.

In retrospect it made the early game way more interesting than NH.

Is there a way to end rivalries and get Andor, Tellar, and Vulcan to all join at once? That's the biggest complaint I've seen across this board, is that the UFP will never canonically form due to a rivalry with one of the major races.

There is an AP which helps boost relations between countries you have envoys in.

There's also a diplomacy edict that you can use to actively boost relations, and potentially remove old grudges.
