Best fix is to just, pick smaller stages, sans is terrible in close range against some characters, stages with platforms are best as well, or you could play a character such as Steve (By placing blocks above the blaster), and Spamton Neo (for his ability to float), there are prob more but those are the only two I'm aware of, or you can play a BS character (not recommended).

Don't pick stages like Skyblock, but also don't pick stages like Final Escape, that's your best bet, stages like Rude Buster, or Enemy Approaching may work but you could also try vanilla stages
