So how do you do it?

1) Subscribe to the characters you want. simple part

2) Do the following to have access to the characters:
Go on Library and locate the game
Right click and pick properties
Pick BETAS
Select workshop Build (or Branch, w/e its called x.x)
3) Hop on the game and go on VS settings
Put developer mode on to allow Custom character data in local vs mode.

hopefully this will get Guadua and other upcoming characters in your game.

Btw does any one know how to access the new map that they shown in the trailer?

The drop down menu isn't showing up for me, can you maybe show what you typed to get it to appear (as in to access the beta).
Nvm, turns out I just needed to reload. Anyone else having a similar problem do the same.

how do you make custom workshop characters

I'll just wait here until someone mods Chief Feathers into RoA.

i did as instructed and i still don´t see Guadua on Vs character select screen, i can see him in the workshop menu and kinda playtest him, but he is nowhere to be seen on the vs menu

Follow the steps for changing your beta branch, but instead of choosing the Workshop branch, choose to opt out of the beta. You can only have access to either story mode or workshop characters, not both at the same time.
