Keeps crashing
Hi everyone,
I started playing rome 2 again and it was working great. Decided to install this mod today so im guessing it is at the latest patch and i don't think there needs to be any updates. I go to play it, come up to the very first screen you see before it goes to the menu, it freezes then crashes back to the desktop. No error message or anything. Would really like to play the mod so any help would be appreciated.

Same thing here. Obviously something is broken, but by the looks of the author's activity on this mod, I'm sure it will be fixed very soon.

IT worked for me after i downloaded the beta patch 8.1 Try and see if that works guys

generally I will not install beta patches, so if beta patch is the only way to work guess I am out of luck

Okay i found a solution to this problem which was on one of the other forums and now i can play it. What you have to do is unsubscribe to the mod if you haven't already. Then go to 'Library' on the top tab. Find Rome Total War 2 on your list and right click. select 'properties' and a box will show up.select 'Betas'. Finally go to the the drop down box and select patch8.1beta. Wait for the game to update and re-subscribe to the mod.

I had the same problem; it worked fine until I got the new DLC Caesar in Gaul, and I had to disable the mod in order to play the game. Once I did that it worked fine; there will have to be a patch to make it compatible with the DLC.

USE YOUR ARROW KEYS TO TOGGLE TO 8.1 PATCH UNDER BETA (mouse doesnt work for some reason, thanks steam, go play counter strike)
