I agree with you. Another reason they removed it is, because 1 jumpspot is enough (the lamp)

i would rather they got rid of the lamp than the boost the map was already t sided this just makes it less fun. plus I found a boost to counter it

I think they could leave the boost, for me does not make so ct sided(Actually I think make the retake almost impossible if you do not have a ct coming from vents or the t entrance). And I think they could open the B ceiling would change a lot the way of playing in b (For ct and t side), a lot of nades would be possible that way.
