For the collant, how 'bout (If you have it installed), the Water Mod's water can be used, or maybe even has to be (Maybe it becomes steam, allowing a steam generator, powered by, say, the heat of a hydrogen generator, then the water goes back to the tank! You can also craft water into more effeciant coolant)

As an idea, there have been a few "thermal signature" mods floating around for a while now and having radiation/heat detectors that work similarly might be good. You could also then add EM absorption panels or something which would weaken the signals you release.

Make the radiation damage only affect you starting 2 blocks away.
