SRT disappeared and ate all my colonists
I had a challenging bandit camp, so I loaded my SRT with supplies and about 9 colonists.

When launching to the bandit camp, much of the camp was in a mountain, my SRT attempted to land on a hidden corner in the mountain (I assume) and immediately disappeared along with ALL OF MY COLONISTS!!!!

I have many hours into this particular save, it's on permadeath, and everyone is completely gone.

Does anyone have any ideas for how to get my colonists back, or how to keep this from happening in the future?

Don't save the game. Force windows to end the Rimworld game. This will not save the game, and it will load from the last time it autosaved. Open the task manager and force it to end.

I'm very sorry this happened to you. It's one of those rare bugs that are hard to find.

I imagine something similar could happen even with the drop pods.

Too late for your solution, I'm afraid. I had a feeling there was something like that I could do, but it seems my game is permanently ruined. I probably won't be playing again for a very, very long time. :(

I love the SRTS, though, your mod made my decision to play the game again after beating vanilla.
