Singleplayer AI specializations report
I've created this discussion topic to report that... basically, the only AI unit that work properly are the AT soldiers.

The militiamen can be also grenadiers;
The grenadiers are just more expensive militiamen;
The medics don't heal other units, and also are very poorly equiped (I'm using Ace Medical on advanced);
The mortars don't spawn at all;
The Brownings that I steal from the enemy sometimes spawn empty without soldiers making use of it;
And the engineers (unit recruitment session) do not repair my vehicles at all. Just when I assign them to a garrison.

I haven't tested the other AI specializations yet because of lack of proper equipment, but they may be glitched as well.

That's all for now. Also, thank you for your work so far! This is more like a sitrep from the gameplay.

Also, the AT soldier can be both an AT and a grenadier.

The grenadier / militiamen weapon selection works as intended for vanilla, although it's a little odd: Weapons with grenade launchers are included in unlockedRifles, so anyone can end up with them.

For RHS it doesn't work because Antistasi identifies GL weapons by them having exactly two muzzles in the config. RHS rifles seem to have an extra muzzle called "SAFE", so the normal rifles are detected as having a GL, and the GL rifles are not.

Garrison statics are more reliably crewed if you add plenty of militiamen to the garrison and either reload from save, or move out of spawn range and back again. I imagine this is on the short-term improvement list as it's quite annoying.

I wouldn't expect AI medics or engineers to work with ACE for a long time, if ever. I'd recommend disabling those ACE modules if you want to make much use of AIs.

I can't, I find the vanilla heal system very crappy, honestly. Also, the interaction menu comes in very handful

One thing that particularly annoyed me recently is the fact Ai doesn't heal/revive other units, so I end up wasting my own PAKs and then not having any for myself when I need them, or having units bleed out since I can't tell by looking at the command bar if they are bleeding out, or simple heavily wounded.

I understand... well, I think I'll have to accpet the medics that aren't medics.
Something I do when I bug and get unconscious taking out bodies of static weapons is assume Zeus, place an medic right next to me and take control of him. Dude, serious, I find the vanilla heal system THE WORST
A tip to all of you btw

Honestly, AI units aren't that valuable when taking them to missions. I just use them as targets for me to spot enemies. But if you really want them, you can carry extra PAKs on the vehicle you're using. I do that but with extra RPG ammo.

Yeah, Bradley worth far more than tanks sometimes. RPGs usually dont do much against Bradley unless you specifically aim for the engine area

AI has, as far as i know, never been able to work with ACE advanced medical. They might be able to handle basic. The engineers need ordering to repair vehicles, and again as far as i am aware, this still works. The point RichardNixon made seems plausable as the AI gets equiped randomly based on what weapons are unlocked. I don't see why the motars don't spawn, but i will give it a test and see if i can work out a fix.

Absolutely more worthy. That ♥♥♥♥ works as an AA, infantry vehicle, AT...
