Shotgun Console Error
[ERROR] workshop/lua/weapons/fas2_base_shotgun/shared.lua:291: attempt to call method 'RestartGesture' (a nil value)

Happens with all shotguns whenever I reload. Please fix ASAP

Probably something to do with the new Garry's Mod update. RestartGesture might be broken or something.

Has there been any update to this problem?

I've also noticed that it seem to cut out the reloading sounds aswell. There is something else too, i deleted the FAS2 files and let it re-download, loaded up a singleplayer game and spawned the KS-23 and had no errors or sound cut. But after i joined a server that was using this addon, the lua errors and sound cut started again.

It was probably the new update that broke it. All we can really do is just use them singleplayer. I guess we'll have to go with the terribly animated M9K sweps for servers.

If you extract the source with gmad (in the bin folder) you can fix this problem by taking out the call to RestartGesture in the script, but then you might have problems with the models not being in your spawnlists if that matters to you (but you can still use the weapons just fine).

To fix the error people are getting you need to extract the contents of the FA:S Sweps base and go into the base shotguns folder and edit the lua in there. Search for RestartGesture and delete it along with the entire line its in. Save. Done. If you have a server you need to import the newly extracted FA:S sweps base into the addons folder of your server.
