Different Unit types
Would it be a good idea to add several new unit types? For example (( Thestral Battalions) could be given a slight buff in night combat and be a bit faster then normal infantry battalions.)

ideas for units.

1 Guard Battalion (Heavy Infantry)
2 Thestral Infantry Battalion (Mountain Based Light Infantry{Good in forest mountain and urban combat} Gets night combat buffs)
3 Crystal Infantry Battalion (Heavy Infantry good in cold climates Mountain Based)
4 Earth pony militia Battalion (low level infantry Unit {gets slight buff in in core states})
5 Pegasi Support Company (Special Airborne Capable Support Units)
6 Gryphon mage battalions (gryphons infused with magic {basically same as pony mage battalions})
7 Changeling Resource Company (Ups equipment capture in fighting units)
8 Thestral/Lunar Guard Battalion (Mountain based Heavy Infantry {good in forests mountains and urban areas also gets night time buff and increased HP compared to other guard/knight like units)

Just a few ideas cuz ya know why not

and will it ever be possible to get thestral/lunar guard generals as equestria ?(without going the root of the nightmare)

That's just unnecessary complexity. Racial differences are already shown by bonuses to existing units.
