The game crashes when I try to start it with the mod on.

You can switch you game version to play the 1.8 version, look it up on Youtube and you should be able to find a tutorial

Until the EaW devs update the mod, you'll have to rollback HoI4 to 1.8. You can do this by going to your Library, right-clicking on HoI4, opening "Properties..", clicking the "Betas" tab, and opting into "1.8.2 - Fork (Old)".

I'm sure the devs are working hard to provide us with the optimal 1.9 Equestria at War experience, so all we need to do right now is be patient.

Same here, even tried to verify cache and relaunch (sometimes that just works), but no. I *believe* the issue is during the "Loading Databases" step, but it's possible it could be unrelated, and that's just where the loading screen is at when the crash occurs
