Whenever I enable the mod and load the game up, it loads base game HOI4
ever since the new update from Paradox, I have been unable to get the EaW mod to work, on any previous beta, or more recently the modern beta (1.9.1), as it only loads base game HOI4. I have unsubbed from the mod and resubbed to it, I have validated the files, I have even uninstalled HOI4 itself and reinstalled it, but to no avail. If anyone can help me with this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Same problem, I rolled it back to 1.8.2 with only the base mod, and it crashes about a third of the way through loading. It is very consistent in how it crashes. I Start it up, it loads and then it crashes. Any reason why this is happening?

for me though, it isn't crashing, it's just loading up base game HOI4, with Hitler Stalin, base game focus trees (not the base EaW trees, base HOI4 trees), etc.

So, you've all rolled back to 1.8 and it still doesn't work?

Are there any other mods enabled that might interfere with EaW?

If not, I'd like to look at the game's error.log if possible.

Debug mode isn't even working. I get as far as Intializing Game during loading and it crashes.

Well, here's how to access the error.log (for Windows and Mac)

Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\logs\

The file should be there.

It isn't just this mod. ANY mod still on version 8.0.* has stopped working.

Haven't loaded HoI4 lately, my game crashes too.

from what i have heard the la resistatnce dlc patch broke the game. It corrupts your files and makes the game crash when any mod is selected, or when you revert to a previous patch.

Sadly all we can do is wait for paradox to fix it, since nothing seems to work. uninstall and reinstall, nope. verify integrity, nope, unsubscribe and resubscribe mods, nope.

Maybe a complete uninstall of steam and reinstall, but 1 game is not worth the hassle for me to test that theory.

Found this on the Old World Blues Mod. Hope it helps.

LOL! I'm laughing at myself right now.

Equestria at War just got its long awaited 1.9 update. However, it requires 1.9.1.

Everyone, opt into 1.9.1 [beta] and remove any EaW submods that haven't been updated.

P.S. Spoiler for update: There's HUMANS!!! They're on the south-west of Equestria!
