-Speaking of expanding, so far it seems that this mod consists exclusively of anime girls, have you guys perhaps considered adding some anime guys instead? I understand it wouldn't necessarily be "Moe" but I feel it would be a nice touch, especially as Kaiserreich develops, more content is added for various nations, and you need more unique characters to use as portraits for political leaders. In other words, it would expand the variety of characters the team could use.
1: I don't have time to actively invest in DH or KRedux, nor does anyone on the team really. I'm sure that they're fine mods and this is in no way a ding against them, but right now with KR's release schedule I have a hard time producing content for KR and releasing it in a timely manner. So far we've managed to release updates within a week of major KR and HOI4 updates, which I think is a very good pace given that we sometimes need to prepare hundreds of portraits (at least I had a months-long heads up for the 100+ spies I needed to add). If I tried to keep up with several other mods at the same time, keeping a good and consistent release schedule would become impossible, everything would be slowed down and no one would be happy.
There's also the matter of quality. One of the fun parts for me and others is that I generally try to have portraits match the person they're assigned to, at least to some degree be it through anything from visual, national, cultural or historical references, or just gameplay references like trying to have "infantry officers" sport a more soldier-y look and have tank specialists resemble armor officers (again not really possible for all people/places obviously but I make the effort at least). If I added two more major mods to the pool, it'd dilute our resources between them and reduce the visual quality and since I don't actively play either, a lot of stuff would likely end up being pretty second-rate or random since I don't know the in-game references, lore, focus trees, when people take power/die, etc etc as well as I know KR's.
Again, I'm sure both mods are just fine and I have nothing against them, I just don't have the time to get into more major mods or submods. Hopefully this adequately explains why I can do no such thing right now in an agreeable way and that you aren't too disappointed with my choice to stick to just mainline KR.
2: Don't really have any interest to mix it up there. Thematically it would've been easier if it started out that way and that aesthetic had been part of the mod early on, but I feel like if they were added now to some new country it'd stand out like a sore thumb when contrasted against the others. I can't really remove stuff from other places either all willy-nilly, I try to avoid that since people don't like seeing characters they like get moved around, let alone removed, so any re-assignment usually neeeds a good justification (like KR devs rewriting everyone in the Canadian royal house leading to Enfield becoming the militarist king rather than the now haughty and scandal-prone autocrat Eddy 8). The kind of sweeping changes needed to sprinkle anime guys everywhere for the sake of aesthetic consistency would probably not go over well with most people.
Again, hopefully this isn't too disappointing, and hopefully I've given a good justification for why this probably won't happen.
Thank you for your feedback.
Irakliy on the other hand stays in office and wont usually get overthrown, and in my opinion aleksandrs portrait is far better than irakliys in both quality and appeal.
If you don't want to make this change simply out a lack of interest or it being too small of a change to warrant any action i understand.
