I love your new mods so far!
The heavy marine helmet has the description of the light marine helmet and not the one in your overview.

I'm not sure if this is only on my end, but it seems the pawn won't automatically equip heavy marine armor. I did the test by only allowing that specific piece of gear (and had one available), but nobody would equip it. Strangely enough, if I force it upon then then clear the forced gear, they won't remove it if the armor is part of their allowed gear.

At first I thought mod conflict but this seems to only occur with the heavy marine armor.

It is an issue with the fact that it has the same shield that shield belt applies, except this one allow the weapons to fire. Pawns won't equip it automatically because they think it will stop them from firing the weapons - the same reason why pawns don't automatically equip shield belts when they have ranged weapons.

Nothing I can do about it - it's hard coded into pawn logic.

Noticed that sometimes the balaclava seem to show over other clothes (such as the tuque)

Now you just encountered an issue with Rimworld's base code, as there are no layers on headgear. Sometimes it's over, sometimes it's under, and there is unfortunately nothing I can do about it until Rimworld updates.

Can not enable the mod, always get an 'corrupted or incompatible,mod' error, even if the mod is the only one who is enabled. Any ideas?

you might have to reinstall the game while making sure to remove all the mods and redownloading them - this is an issue with some kind of mod corrupting the game files I believe. Some people had it before.

I don't want to be a know it all or make you roll your eyes or anything so I'll explain myself first: i didn't get the mod, but I thought it might be helpful to say why and put it here instead of the general discussion.

There's a few instances of weird grammar in the descriptions for the items - I usually steer away from that just because it drives me crazy in game, much like you, Oskar, avoid anything that isn't vanilla-like. Also I felt critical of the small picks made with heat and cold resistances, armor values and stat bonuses / debuffs - I thought they seemed alpha, which is really understandable considering the total work involved in this and that it is actually the alpha version.

I hope this is constructive for you guys and not just another critical opinion. Anyway, I want to get this series of mods but I know these little things would bother me. If I were selfish I would just tweak it up to my own third party, no time invested yet standard :) That would rob everyone of my opinion though, of course. Thanks for all the work you've put in so far!

When I load this mod, vast majority of pawns wear balaclavas. Both in the colony setup screen, and in raids (confirmed by triggering with dev mode). I load this mod last, and my mod list is long (100+).

OK, I found a workaround for the "Balaclavas everywhere" issue. I just commented out the VAE_Headgear_Balaclava ThingDef in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1814988282\Defs\ThingDefs_Misc\Headgear_Industrial.xml.

Not sure if bug, oversight, mod conflict issue, or a lack of understanding on my part: The stone mask shows no stats for armor in my game. Given that it's made of stone, I'd assume it provides armor. The images on the main page says it does provide armor (30%).

pawns wearing chainmail + chestplate + light plate armor + plate helmet (all made of steel) add a negative carry weight to caravans.
