The winning logo
First of all we need to thank everyone who participated in our little design contest for a new logo of CAP, and with this we'd happily say that we really liked the logo created by Ivan of Spades with it's simplicity yet quite powerful look and feel of the Stargate universe.

However as we intended to switch the winning logo for the official logo we'd sadly have to announce the following news.

The future of CAP
After many years, where lots of talented people came together to make this addon possible, where others supported the addon in their own way, by donating and assisting with the forums, we sadly need to announce that of this day the Carter Addon Pack's team will be disbanded.

Alex our main coder and pretty much the life extender of CAP: who joined after the main team's coders had left, made amazing updates and improvements to the addon.
Announces that he's in a very difficult situation and does not finds the time to work on any updates in the future anymore.

With this happening we also made the following decision for the future of CAP and a general Stargate addon for Garry's Mod that our content may of today be remixed, transformed or build upon to make adaptations of CAP or make a complete new Stargate Addon that builds upon our addon. The whole addon will as of today be licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.

Under the following terms:

Closure

Even for the current remaining people in the team it is still quite hard to swallow this news, as it was still a very long road to get where we are today. But real world events and other things eventually takes more priority which makes a hobby creation like this impossible to maintain forever.

While we will probably stay active on the forums, and update from time to time, the actual development will be postponed until further notice.

So for everyone and we really mean everyone who played, supported and enjoyed CAP all these years we really need to Thank You! As without you, we would never have gotten this far!
