What each parameter does in the options tab
I'm making this mostly for those who don't know what happens when you change the parameters (I don't know what four of the parameters do though)

  • Old Carrying Animation - Makes it so that the ASHPD doesn't go down when you pick something up (I originally thought this changed the animation of how you held the portal gun but apparently not)

  • Change the sound effects of the portal gun - Makes the ASHPD use sounds from Portal 2. Leave it off for Portal 1 sounds

  • Enable arms - The left arm is visible when enabled (the right arm will still be visible even if this setting is turned off)

  • Type Crosshair:
  • 0 - No quick info
  • 1 - Default Portal quick info
  • 2 - Beta Portal quick info

  • Presence System - Changes the quick info to be Portal 2 styled, showing you if you can one, both, or none portals placed. Leaving it off will give you Portal 1 quick info, showing you which portal you fired last and whether you can or can't fire a portal on a surface (I believe this was also supposed to show you where the portal is when you can't see it, hence the name "Presence System," but I personally haven't been able to see it working)

  • Enable Lights - Allows the portals to cast light on their surroundings

  • Enable Render - Enabling this allows you to see what's on the other side while disabling it makes the portals look the same as if they're closed. Turning this off can help increase your FPS!

  • Projectile Speed - Adjusts the speed of the portal projectile ball

  • Enable Projectile Ball - Enables the ball that travels from the ASPHD to whatever surface you shoot at

  • Instant Shoot - Allows the portal to appear instantly where you're looking, rather than having to wait for the ball to reach it's destination

  • Upgrade - Allows the ASPHD to either make only one color of portal, or to make both portals

  • Portal Cleanings - Fizzles your portals our whenever you press the reload key

  • Shoot Faster - Increases the fire rate of the ASHPD, matching that of Portal 2, allowing you to spam portals faster

  • Velocity on the Ceiling - Changes the speed at which you start falling when you exit a ceiling portal

  • Enable Prototype of the Portals - I have no idea what this does, but looking into the spawnlist it does change something about the portals, even if I don't know the difference this setting makes

  • Sides Fixed - This changes the invisible frame around the portal to be bigger, and again I have no idea what difference this setting makes

  • Hit on Entity - Allows the portal to register as either being able to place or not be placed on an entity

  • Hit on Prop - ditto, but with props (though apparently upon testing you need both setting enabled for this to work)

  • Pull on all surfaces - Allows you to place a portal on any serface, regardless of whether it's a metal surface, black surface, or any other unportalable surface (this also changes the quick info to stay on indefinetly if you have the presence system turned off even if a surface is too small to place a portal on

  • Location of the Portals - I also don't know what this does, but it might have something do with seeing portals even if they're behind a wall or whatever, which I also mentioned in the Presence System setting

  • Upside Down Portals on Ceiling - Flips the portal position whenever you're shooting at the ceiling. Most noticeable if you're making the indefinite fall thing, where having this setting off switches your view from front to back every time you fall through while having it on lets you keep facing the same direction while falling

  • Render View - I think this is supposed to change how the portals look to other players, but I don't have anyone else to hop on and see what happens to prove it

  • Render Automatic - Also no idea what this does, but if I had to guess, it automatically selects one of the three render views for either you or other players

  • Style buttons - Changes the behavior of the ASPHD to match the corresponding game by changing these parameters:

Portal Style
  • Old Carrying Animation - On
  • Change the sound effects of the portal gun - Off
  • Presence System - Off
  • Projectile Speed - 3500
  • Instant Shoot - Off
  • Shoot Faster - Off

Portal 2 Style
  • Old Carrying Animation - Off
  • Change the sound effects of the portal gun - On
  • Presence System - On
  • Projectile Speed - 10000
  • Instant Shoot - On
  • Shoot Faster - On
