My leaders don't have names and i can't seem to name them, It first start out as only a few were like this but now all are like this, Any help?

Well that you can't name them must be an issue with another mod, since my namelist mods don't change anything with the UI.

That leaders got no name could be caused by an error within the namelist, could be anything, from a name standing two times in it to pressed the space button one time too much etc.

PS: To narrow it down, which leaders were affected? Male ones or Female ones? Or both?

One thing came to my mind: Previously there were two versions of the namelist inside the namelist mod, one that was made for Vanilla and I had a seperate one for the NSC mod.

However, since I'm not an expert modder and discovered afterwards, that the NSC version works as well with Vanilla, I removed the Non-NSC-Version since it's existence was unnecessary with the latest update.

Did the Empire you use maybe use the Non-NSC-Version?
If yes, that could be the explanation of the phenomenon, since the game obviously can't pull names for new leaders from a list, that doesn't exist anymore in the game folder.
This would then appear with ships, planets and armies sooner or later too.

No I played with NSC for some time now and use the your NSC version, Like I said it work just yesterday but now none of my leaders have names and I can't seem to name them.

Hmm strange, I didn't update anything yesterday. I also found no error in the namelist, doublechecked it.

On my other mod someone else also reported a similar problem, where they couldn't rename stuff.
Are there any other mods, maybe UI mods, you use that maybe got updated yesterday?
If they somehow fiddle with name lists or the displaying of names, that could be the source of the problem, since my namelist mods definitely don't fiddle with the UI.

Come to mind but I think they were update days ago and never had a problem until now, I do play with other name list like:
British NSC
German empire NSC
Roman namelist
Soviet namelist
Nordic namelist
Maybe some of those were updated I'll look into that but Idk

Hmm I just recently played with Overhaul Dynamic too, since it is recommended by NSC, but that was some days ago, dunno if something there was changed, that isn't working as intended...

I disabled it and no it's not that mod so Idk what mod is causing it haven't changed or installed any new mods in the past few days.

Well I've messed with all the mods and only played with the US namelist and still can't get it fixed, I hoped I don't have to start a new game bc that would suck big time.

Hmm I'm at a loss what it could be, because I played with the Namelist myself to test it, with NSC, the only thing I changed in the recent update was removing the other namelist you seemingly were not using anyway and updating it to the current version, so updating the version number.

I didn't change the namelist itself and never had this problem with it.

And I guess, if this was a problem with the namelist itself, some other people would have notified me here as well in all the time since it's existing now.

I got no clue, what else could cause this...

Do you think UI scaling could have done something? Bc that's the only other thing I can think of that might have broken it.

I think I've fixed my problem by going on r/Stellaris Someone there said it might have something to do with species names and I did change the name of my species one time, That's what might have broken it.

So I had to go and edit my save file and put the namelist back on my species, After loading the new save file I created it seem to have work so think god I don't have to start a new game.

Anyway love the namelist.
