That is literally a straight downgrade to the Gunslinger.
My proposition:
=Replaces all sentries with mini sentries
=Sentries are manually controlled
+Sentries start at full health when placed.
+200% Build Speed
-Sentries disabled while inactive.
-No melee attack.

Just to be clear, it would not add the shield and fire speed of the Wrangler, but it would place minis extremely quickly, making it a good tool for doing a lot of damage in a small time, but would still have the engie as a light class. This would be a good tool for ambushes and killing other light classes quickly, but would put you at a disadvantage against an explosive class, heavy, or pyro.
tl;dr It sacrifices area denial for a quick way to output a lot of damage.

This. And not just a simple PDA. Hi GPS's balance mod added a speed pad that replaces engie's teleporters, so instead of being teleported, you get a speed boost when you step on it. This gives engie a useful add-on to help his team reach the front lines without having to build two teleporters and without overshadowing the original teleporters. It'd be awesome if he could build one of them by having a new PDA.

I'd also add a mini dispenser that builds faster, heals as fast as a lvl 2, but has less health and gives as much metal as a lvl 1. This would make engie less of a turtling class.
