Message LucasGames/Disney instead of Complaining about Mod's Limitations
Instead of Complaining about the Mod's Limitations, send messages to Petroglyph Games to make a EAW 2 in updated graphical standard as the remake mod. You guys are complaining about the crashes of this mod but the modders pushed this 2006 game to its limits which is extraordinary.

Right now, people need to be focusing on harping Petroglyph Games to release EAW 2 with the same graphic standards as the remake mod

**UPDATE 04/2023: MESSAGE LUCASGAMES & DISNEY CORP - Petroglyph came out to say that this title and its IP is held by Disney/LucasGames. They have to give a greenlight to Petroglyph to make a new EAW 2 and/or remastering updates to this game.**

I always laugh at people that complain at "MODDERS" about engine limitations of games they are modding... bruh.. like ... wtf? Do people not realize that a modder is not a developer(of the said game)?

The reason the game crashes actually is the fault of the mod developers, they admitted to it themselves. Once three different AI factions meets the game crashes and considering there is over a dozen AI factions the chance of three meeting at the same time is actually pretty much guaranteed to happen sooner rather than later. That is why you have people say that they crash in low double digit months.

I managed to notice the actual issue as I played. When an AI builds the uplink station for the space battle orbital cannon then even if you win the battle the uplink tower is still listed as alive and your fleet is on the galaxy map along with the enemy uplink tower. To destroy it you have to either leave the system and come back or if any other unit (friend or foe) enters the system it automatically triggers a battle where one enemy frigate spawns (as a substitute for the undead uplink tower) that you have to destroy to win the battle and finally cleanse the orbit.

What is not (I think) fixable, is how AI moves fleets around. The AI is able to send multiple fleets from multiple systems to make them all converge on a single target at a single instant, effectively combining fleets for an attack, which is, as far as I know, impossible for the player. And since AI moves fleets at intervals it is still, I think, possible for 3 or more AI fleets to meet in a single engagement, which will crash the game.

I personally solved the issue by playing the scenarios where the small factions have no AI and have positioned myself between the Rebels and the Zahn Consortium. Therefore there is now a 0% chance of three factions meeting at the same time. Now I'm at month 600+ and have had no crashes on the galaxy map.

To 100% fix the issue the mod devs would have to fix the uplink tower and make the AI send fleets in such a manner, that no 3 fleets could ever meet. Or remove all the minor AI factions and have the game with just the 3 normal ones.
