This is almost certainly due to moving ground troops directly to another system without first moving them into the space layer.

EX: if you have troops on Coruscant and you want to send them to Byss, they need to be moved from Coruscant ground layer to Coruscant space layer, then to Byss or wherever you are sending them. If you drag them from Coruscant ground layer, to Byss space layer, you probably borked your save accidentally.

This bug is extra insidious because the effect is not triggered right away, but at least a week or two after the mistake, so it's REALLY hard to figure out that this caused it. Hope this helps!

any fix yet? im glad you told me that because this is my favorite mod and Ill try and see if this helps

Wow. Thanks. I know for sure now that I'm gonna preserve my saves and try not to do that. Seriously, this will probably save my saves going forward.

Glad to help! I love this mod, and while stability is obviously the key issue, if you learn some tricks you can keep your save going much, much longer without a major crash.

One known reason for that is multiple AI factions clash together at the same time, I mean their fleets arrive at the same moment. AIs fight battles with autoresolves, which it can not do with 3 factions, so the game bugged out.
If this is the case, it may be solved by rewinding back to a previous save and launch a massive assault to interrupt AI's strategies, making them stop hitting the same place for now.
This is not a guaranteed solution, and it may happen again at any time, so I suggest you to save constantly as a preparation.
