Like I said, Nobody is obligated to reply to anyone's comments. The developer of the mod doesn't owe me a reply, but I get the impression that you didn't even read my comments to begin with. What I find very unusual and interesting is the fact that you made the effort to attempt to dismissively invalidate what I said, while simultaneously expecting me to take your words seriously in return.
So you think this is a joke? But I am to reciprocate consideration, respect, and understanding? none taken, none given. Have a nice day.
"Before commenting read the pinned discussions and it may answer any questions you have. Also asking things on the discord is the best way to get an answer to a question if it's not in the FAQ thread because the steam comments cant really be directly answered nor are they constantly watched.
All comments are public and subject to community review. Idiotic comments will be shared and joked about on the discord so make sure to tell us exactly how we hurt your special little feelings."
lol
I wanted to start out by giving you the benefit of the doubt considering that you appear to be trying to be helpful by telling me about the frequently asked questions, as well as the discord. I appreciate that specific portion of your comment, but I think that it is equally important for me to state the fact that it is a very unusual assumption of the part of many people over the course of countless years, across the nearly endless expanse of the internet, and is a very common assumption that every "frequently asked questions" in existence on every and any website in the entire world will magically always have 100% of all information in the entire universe compressed into a single long page of instructions that essentially (often but not always) (some "frequently asked questions out there are in fact very useful, but they seem more rare) amount to a passive aggressive attempt to casually dismiss people on the internet that have something legitimate or even unique to say, as an unwanted, unneeded annoyance.
This is unacceptable, and I refuse to pretend that I'm in agreement with this style of treatment- no matter how common it may be.
Now, of course, I did not read the "frequently asked questions", so I can not claim any of those things about the "frequently asked questions" for this excellent high quality mod, and the very hard working developer which I have a great appreciation for. (aside from the disappointing communication, which I voice my opinion on because I care and because I have hope that my feedback may possibly result in some level of improvement)
(Honestly if someone left me three entire paragraphs of in depth high quality feedback that they worked so hard to write because they love my mod so much, I personally, would actually take the time to read it. I wouldn't casually skip over and reply to the very next comment several times in a row as if to almost appear to intentionally ignore them, without even at the very least a simple low effort reply stating that at the very least read their posts, not even making comment on it, but just a simple "Thanks, taken into consideration" or a "Thanks but I don't like this, but have a nice day")
To continue on track with what I was saying:
"frequently asked questions" can not, and do not contain all the answers to every question in existence, and it is extremely arrogant and ignorant to automatically assume that every concern, question, technical issue, suggestion, or feedback will always be included in a "frequently asked questions" list.
I shamelessly admit that I didn't bother reading the "frequently asked questions" because of the endless countless hundreds of thousands of times that I have bothered to read "frequently asked questions" in the past, I can count a grand total of maybe two times that I actually found it to contain any useful information whatsoever. Thus henceforth, I made it a personal rule to make a small effort going forward into the future to in most cases, 99% of the time- to intentionally not read frequently asked questions, to preserve my sense of dignity, and my faith in humanity.
I do occasionally still read "frequently asked questions" when it appears to be warranted, but even then I am still often disappointed.
Furthermore, it is a common and immeasurably epic quantum superposition of an assumption to assume that everyone uses Discord. I don't use Facebook either, and I personally don't get my coffee from Starbucks. I don't have any problem with these businesses, I just don't use them. Personal prefererence.
What is incalculable to my logic and reasoning, is the question as to why everyone seems to believe that there do not exist any human beings on planet earth that do NOT use these businesses or services. "Here just give me your (generic assumed expectation)" "Oh sorry yea I just don't have one, and I'm just really not going to." "GASP! IMPOSSIBLE! They refuse to conform to the standard of human behavior in 2023? They're not one of us! Hurry we need to call a meeting!"
and I'm just left standing there like "why would I do that when we're right here on this website talking right now, and I can communicate with you directly at this very moment?"
People seriously are like "NO I know we're talking right now, but seriously you need to STOP TALKING TO ME RIGHT NOW, and hurry up and go to this other place for no reason so you can talk to me there instead"
"Okay, but why?"
"I DON'T KNOW!? ITS JUST NORMAL?"
So as you can see, I don't really have the time to humor this kind of behavior. You know, I try to be as polite as possible all the time, but you can't fault me for saying "this is just silly, no thank you" every once in a while, even if I have so say that more and more every day.
"how you are acting"
Really? You mean how I'm acting when I specifically stated:
I think I've made myself very clear, dare I say even crystal clear, even diamond clear, perhaps even as clear as my conscience, why I feel the way I do in all of my comments.
Okay so let me really try to understand this, you disagree with me, so therefor you find it appropriate to call me an idiot, rather than to use logic and reason to form an actual set of reasons why you believe I'm wrong that can actually convince me, and lead to some kind of discussion resulting in understanding.
Then you say that my thoughts and ideas and opinions will be joked about on the discord, I assume because you don't feel comfortable doing it here for some unknown reason.
And finally you want me to explain how you "hurt my feelings"?
Allow me to take a moment to understand the astounding and unfathomable level of hubris and hypocrisy of that statement.
You want to make fun of me, and call me an "idiot", because you disagree with me, because you think that "my feelings are hurt"
I'm just sharing an opinion on the lack of communication in the comments section of this excellent mod, which is perhaps even one of the greatest mods of all time, (but I will say that there are other great mods that also hold the same place in my heart) And yet- everyone is apparently here to laugh at me and disagree with me over an apparent observeration. Good? Good.
I believe that you are all strongly invested in the idea of convincing me that my feelings are hurt, because you want to disguise the possible hidden secret that it is actually all of you who have become offended at my opinions and observations, which I am apparently not allowed to have!
It is the reason why you are all so desperate to so rudely PERMANENTLY STAIN my comments that I have put so much care and effort into writing out over the course of several hours with these tiny little clowns, as if to mock me. (although I do appreciate the little poetry stickers, as I do take pride in my elegant method of communication, which I hope inspires others in a positive way)
Do not believe for even a fraction of a trillionth of one scientific particle physics based planck length of time that I am not aware of these sketchy shenanigans, or that I will ever collapse under the pressure of your unrighteous false judgments.
The communication in the comments section of the Empire At War REMAKE 4.0 mod is far less than satisfactory, so much so that it is a factory of dissatisfaction.
The mod is EXCELLENT, the work that the developer has done is EXCELLENT. The communication is almost metaphorically reminiscent of the feeling I get when I brush my teeth with mint toothpaste and then drink orange juice soon after.
It's like that feeling when I like cilantro, but then someone just adds like three pounds of cilantro into less than a single pound of food.
It's like the feeling when I'm having a good day but then my toe feels weird and I discover I have a hole in my sock and I'm several miles away from home and I can't put on another sock.
It's like the feeling of being told as a child "when you grow up you can be anything" only to grow up and discover that I have been lied to and can not in fact become several of the things I wished I could be.
Disappointment, to put it lightly.
I've said what I need to say, and I raise to you all my wine glass of chocolate soy milk.
You all know what you can eat, but the decision is up to you. I don't know what's in your fridge.
Have a nice day, and may the force be with you.
lol
I expected as much.
You put it on yo own damn self when you typed a full thesis on how victimized you've been by having some comments ignored. Get over yourself dude, go outside for a bit and breathe some real world.
Also... lol
Please point out exactly where in all of my comments in this thread where I "victimize myself"
I disagree with that, because I think that is what you wish for me to believe.
If you read anything I said in my comments, my observation and opinion on the matter is very simple. It is you who has a problem with what I am saying, so you wish for me to believe myself to be in state of artificial self-victimization, so that it's easier for you to treat me with disrespect.
But it doesn't work? Why? Because I refuse to play into the role for which you have attempted to artificially place me into.
And stop putting the little clowns on me.
