Galactic Conquest save crash
First of all let's give a moment to appreciate this great mod. It got everything, lasters, blasters, cannons... and many explosions!! But most importantly - IT'S STAR WARS!

In order to enjoy all these great treats and many many many other great functions out of this mod, we have to take a look at the technical part, which is outdated out of obvious reasons... But if there is a solution to avoid all these crashes, this game would be even more enjoyable.

In my case when I start my galactic conquest I enjoy it for the first 150 months, I've got a whole sector taken by my faction and have established a great defense perimeter. Noone even dares to undermine my poweeeer! But then... out of nothing... crash! Boom! Ok.. I restart the game, load save... and everything works! ... but only for like 4 minutes and it crashes again! Dang, I try to start it on my 3 other saves (which I made in case when one of the save files gets corrupted) and the result is the same. Sometimes after 5 sometimes after 10 minutes comes the inevitable crash. Out of nothing! For me this galactic conquest is finished, no return, because its unplayable anymore. I've had the same issue on all my other GC's, and because of that I've never ever been close to take over the whole galaxy. BUT it is still a great remake mod and I hope we find a solution for that issue which can make the gc playable again. If you guys know a solution for this issue let me know, thanks

Seconded. This is exactly the same for me. Every ~15 minutes is a crash, sometimes just on the star map, sometimes when saving, sometimes when entering a battle. It's not completely random, but random enough that I spend about 10 minutes replaying for every 30 minutes in game. I save before and after every battle, but when the crash occurs during a save (and corrupts that save), then I'm kind ♥♥♥♥ out of luck. Too bad, it's a great mod,

I think I might found the cause. It has been told to NEVER save while in pause mode because the save file gets corrupted. Maybe, just maybe the save file gets corrupted when auto save kicks in while the game is paused...

My game freezes during plays randomly. just freezes, then I reload that file, freezes in the same place. I'm having to reload and plan my game around it freezing. Seems to happen mostly when fleet is inbound on one of my planets. Right before the screen pops up to launch the battle the game will freeze. Any Ideas?

Previously heard that freezes happen when two different AI fleets arrive at the same planet at the same time, not sure if that's still the case though.

This has happened to me several times as well. When I tried to load the autosave to if it was frozen too, it loaded in a planetary battle that I didn't even have troops at. So it just stayed on the planet without anything happening or the ability to end it.

I'd like to tell you guys about my findings on the GC freeze. I've started my GC from a non-corrupted save and didn't even once touch the pause button. The result is - I'm near 300 months now into my GC and it never crashed! So it is possible, that the autosave is the cause of the problem. Your saves might be corrupted so you can try start a new GC on a new save and don't push the pause button! Try it out and share with us the results
