After your ground units are built, you can drag them to orbit and move them above the enemy planet. Drag these units to the planet's ground slot to begin invasion.
If you are new to this game, I strongly recommend you play the original game before installing Remake, or any other major mod, to learn about the basic gameplay with the in-game tutorial. Good luck!
You should be able to see base structures in the building lists such as imperial/rebel bases on a newly captured planet, and these structures are needed to build factories alike. And if you are asking about the building queue that shows the currently constructing units/structures, the ground one is on the right side, in orange color.
The entire map got over 100 planets, and it will be extremely exhausting if the mod devs have to make everyone unique. That's why remake is using generic maps, and it is possibly just a coincidence that you meet only 3 of them.
