ATS Port of LGBTQ+ Flags
Maxtimot,

Tonight, I revisited my old project of porting these flags to ATS and got them working on all of trucks that SCS Software has released so far. They are now attached to the Front Flag slots, but support has been provided for the window flag slots that appear on the Kenworth T680 and W900 trucks when you have SiSL's Mega Pack installed. So, they will work regardless of SiSL's mod being present or not.

I would like to get these out to the public at some point, so I'd like to ask for permission to release them as a Steam Workshop file. I have your name listed as the author in the Manifest file and I've added a note in the mod description file mentioning that I handled the port. I intend to keep it updated to match any flags that you add to your existing package here and to provide support for SCS Software's trucks (both current and future releases).

If it is not permissible for me to do the release myself with your permission, I would be happy to turn the files over to you for you to release them yourself. I look forward to hearing from you regarding this project.

Hello, and thanks for doing all this (and sorry for the delay, Steam haven't pinged about this discussion :sad_boulder: )

I've checked a little how I could add these flags on ATS, but besides the warning bumper flags, there weren't any ways of getting these flags on the window unless SCS would make the Flag DLC themselves, and I haven't found any mods who would add other flags as well, so I'm glad you managed to find a way.

You can upload it to the workshop for sure, you have my blessing :winter2019happydog: , I think there's a way to appoint me as co-author in the mod? I think it would be useful in case I'd add new flags to the list.

The front flags are indeed the only common flag mounting points among all of the trucks. There are window mounting points added by the SiSL Mega Mod, but only for trucks that the GTM Team (which SiSL is part of) made mods of (Kenworth W900 and T680).

I will look into what is needed to do an upload to the Steam Workshop, and will make you co-author if I can figure out how to do that. I've recently updated my local mod to include your new Progressive Pride Flag that you added recently.

I refactored the mod for ATS slightly compared to what you've done for ETS2. Since there is no real difference between the right and left side flags aside from the model references, I've made a set of "common" data files for the flags, similar to what SCS Software did for their red warning flags that come with the base game. This insures that the flags appear with the same size and physics regardless of the side of the truck that they are on.

AFAIK we didn't add window flags support at all to ATS because things like this are illegal in the US.

Okay, then it is definitely SiSL's Mega Mod that is adding the window flag mounts to the T680 and W900 trucks.

Alrighty, the mod I've alluded to is now up and available to the public at LGBTQ+ Flags on the ATS Workshop. :D
