Out of the three time I tried (different seed & game), using "gm", "itemmenu" I couldn't destroy the patrol vessel. (thruster, turret, core, outside, inside .. nothing)
It's straight up invincible. Maybe forgot to damage some part of the vessel before it was saved ? For as much as I know it was the way of making it vulnerable for some of their blocks.
Or maybe it's intended to have an invincible vessel chasing the player, who know.
