Had the same thing. Go to
Documents\Arma 3\Saved\steam or Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\%your profile name%\Saved\steam if you're using non default profile and delete the [dyn%2fsp]%20whole%20lotta%20altis.altis folder. It will work next time you start the game.

Thanks Rufuke, but it appears I have to do that every time I restart Arma 3? The save does not seem to work either :/

The workshop is currently half broken, if played in old manual way savegames work normally and mission starts everytime. BI probably fixes the issues soon when returning from holiday.

uhm, i got the same but the link that u wrote here was for the MP-version and it says that the website is currently offline, its telling me that for now 4 weeks... is there any way to get the !SP!-version working because i didnt got more than 3 hours on that mission... pls help me, its a great mission and id like to play it a little bit more

you can download the missions there, i realised that too late but its working now
btw: its a great mission SaOk, pls keep on working it :-)

I've found if the play button doesnt work just clicking on another mission then coming back to WLA makes it work.

Hi guys I have been happily playing the Mod and have had no issues up to date with many days of gaming under my belt and 3/4 of the island under my control. The problem is of late when I click resume to continue the campaign the load screen freezes near the end and becomes unresponsive. The only option is to Ctlr + Alt Delete and then end process. In the last couple of days I have just spent ages going in then stopping it then tying it again and eventually I get back in.

Now it is a mystery how to get back in. REALLY ANNOYING!!! Almost near the end of the campaign and I can't finish it. Suggestion how about a save option where it lists all your saves so when it does this you can activate a save at a later time hopefully bypassing this annoyance.

Lame mission restarted not sure if I clicked restart campaign or it did itself. It happened right after a update. (Sad Panda)
