Nice.
1) Poison is certainly a downgrade after you've been playing Final Adventure for a while and come back to this one, I agree. That said, at least poison bombs remain lethal, especially underwater, and they are by far the easiest to make. Spells in general are tougher to find, however, which is why the Basic Library becomes available early on in the mod.
2) Skulls are definitely a lot harder to obtain than in Lost City, probably because they are way more useful in this mod, which you will no doubt discover later on when you reach a certain settlement.
3) Only a Farmer can cook & mine by default: every other character class needs the Cooking Guide & Mining Guide from the General Store. I think Adrageron did this to give new players a bit of a boost at the start since it might take a while to find the gold keys required for those items.
