1) What does the "enable/disable mk1/mk3 ships" option does? I can still see Mk1 and Mk3 variants on sale in the Terran Traders shipyard, and Ossarian raiders still use both Mk1 and Mk3 ships when they are disabled. But my playtest was only about 20 minutes, so maybe I'm missing something.
2) Does any other AI, besides Ossian Raiders, use Mk1 and Mk3 ships?
3) Do new sectors have AI logic enabled when Ossian Raiders are turned off (easy difficulty)? I'm wondering if AI can colonize those sectors.
4) What is the difference between difficulty modes, except Ossarian raiders spawning?
Thank you
1) If you enable mk1/mk3 then all factions will build their mk1/mk3 flagship and OSR will start to invade random sectors with mk1/mk3 flagships.
2) AI will use the mk1/mk3 flagships only, but you have to activate mk1/mk3.
3) Very easy= no OSR is there and the gate is closed.
easy= gate is open and OSR stations/ships are in the sectors and they are conquerable.
4) Higher difficulty = more ships/jobs which OSR will build.
You can activate Enhance Sector takeover too. Like the name says, additional mk3 ships will be build and used for station attacks only in the next nearest sector.
