German Dual Purpose guns
Hi! Actually playing the awesome ULTRA mod that features a slightly altered version of your mod. I noticed the German dual purpose guns for some reason don't use the "classic" German diameters of 12.7 and 15cm. Is there a specific reason for that? I know the Germans only ever introduced a 12.7cm dual purpose gun, but I think it would be logical for them to go for 15cm instead of 14 as they already had a load of naval guns with this diameter.

The 15cm never was a dual Purpose Gun.
The Kriegsmarine used the 15cm as a heavy seconday gun and a 10,5 cm as light secondary/AA gun.
That were the classic german guns,
12,7cm was classic for US.
The germans developed a 12,8cm dual purpose gun but they were named 12,7 cm guns.

I never said they had a 15cm DP. I said it would make sense for them to go for that diameter as they already used it for regular guns.

Sorry but technicly we were both wrong I read that the germans actually had AA rounds for the 15cm guns.

The germans developed the 12,7cm gun for dual purpose use because they used only employed it for barrage use.
