Mind reading Bug?
I just started the mind reading quest and completed my first mind reading on one of the Han Lords. I completed the mind read perfectly but after the battle the 'mind reading' book disappeared from my inventory. Now I cannot continue with the quest. I can't engage any further dialog with other lords for the quest or seem to get any more conversation with Hong Xin other then hello - goodbye.

Has anyone had this happen and found a way to fix it? Seems to have glitched....

I have no answers and cannot seem to find a solution, short of starting a new character and game.

Any response would be appreciated.

Not sure but perhaps you can revisit Hong to get another book.

tried that. Seems like there isnt anything I can do but start again.

Try using ctrl + ' (under esc) it will open a box to type stuff, then you should type "cheatmenu", then click "camp" > "cheat menu" > "find item" and find the book there. Then buy it. After that you can just type "nocheatmenu" and it closes the cheat menu :)

@straus - it worked! many thanks and much appreciation. I had committed over 100 days to that save file so I'm very happy its working again. top stuff mate.
