You need to locate Garry's Mod in the explorer, open "FactoryReset-GMod.bat" and follow the instructions from there, reinstall the vr module, and remove reshade and "Reshade.ini" if you previously added Reshade.

I disclosed this information by testing the crash, I then saw the reshade logo in steamvr while the screen was shaking. Now all I had to do was fix the audio by choosing the default device.
