i have that exact issue. i even turned off every other addon except for vrmod to see if it was conflicts and it still didnt work so this is on their end. maybe a broken update or something

I managed to fix it, randomly. Really don't know what I did. Though, L4D2Vr features the same problems.

I found one way to fix it that may only apply to me, and it was ReShade. For some reason, that will break VRMod.

what is reshade?

A "injector" mod, that allows you to add real-time filters such as sharpening, non-rtx HDR, and other visual effects to make your game look better(or how you want it to look, like some fog effects). Trust me, if you have some old games, look up reshade and play around with it.

How I fixed it! I uninstalled ReShade, so check to make sure you don't have it installed.

Essentially what happens:
1. I open Garry's Mod, and start the map I wish to use(construct usually).
2. After that, I put on my headset, and using Oculus Link, I go and type vrmod_start from the headset.
3. SteamVR opens, after a lot of stuttering from the PC, then opens.
4. I can see the game in SteamVR(not theater mode), and I can see my character model on that mirror screen, but it won't put ME in the game. I just look at my character from the outside in.

Please Fix This!!!!

hey i know this might be a stupid reponse, check your pc and make sure the pause screen is NOT open. vrmod needs the cursor to be "free" (in the game) to work, this may not work, idk i have the exact same problem.

You may have more luck trying out the Semi-official version of this addon on the workshop. The creator of that one is still updating to this day. More likely to find help over there
