I found one way to fix it that may only apply to me, and it was ReShade. For some reason, that will break VRMod.
A "injector" mod, that allows you to add real-time filters such as sharpening, non-rtx HDR, and other visual effects to make your game look better(or how you want it to look, like some fog effects). Trust me, if you have some old games, look up reshade and play around with it.

You may have more luck trying out the Semi-official version of this addon on the workshop. The creator of that one is still updating to this day. More likely to find help over there
