requesting units?
are you able to request units any other way than going back to the main base?

The question is (very) old but i'm interested too...
Does someone have the answer please ?
And if it's no. Is there a way to make them "fast travel" ?

No its not possible because if you are able to fast travel units that are at base to your location it would be cheating. If you are in a difficult situation and you have the power to recruit units outside of the base and or you recruit them and they fast travel to you they can help you immediately. So no, but i checkt some scripts you are able to remove the parameter and allow any individual to fast travel !including enemies!.
